natural gas and propane systems. This mark was formerly known as AGA
or CGA, however in 2000, these certifications were rolled into CSA.
This mark is usually accompanied by one or more of the
following:
½ PSI, 5G, 125G. These marks indicate the various approval pressures for
natural gas and propane services. ½ PSI, 5 PSI and 125 PSI
respectively.
Specifically on the Red-White Pex valve line (5010, 5010D, 5011
& 5012) this CSA logo indicates certification to NSF standard 61
for drinking water applications as well as certification to ASTM
F1807-02 and ASME A112.18.1-2003 (Metal Crimp Fittings for PEX
tubing and Plumbing Fixture Fittings)
NSF International.

to NSF standard 61 for drinking water applications.
Red-White Valve Pure Water program. As used on Red-White products this proprietary
mark indicates that the valves have undergone specific processing to
not only meet the requirements of ANSI/NSF Standard 61, but to
produce less than 5 parts per billion lead, a level that is
substantially lower than required by NSF Standard 61.
IAPMO Universal Plumbing Code
Certification for NSF.
As used on Red-White Plumbing valves, this mark indicates
certification to NSF standard 61 by the International Association of
Plumbing & Mechanical Officials.

Pressure
Ratings
WOG: Water, Oil & Gaseous
services. As used on
Red-White valves this rating indicates the maximum pressure of the
valve body. All joints (other than threaded) may limit this pressure
due to their materials or designs. Note that the “G” in WOG does NOT refer to
approval for Natural Gas, Propane or regulated gas
services.
WSP: Working Steam Pressure.
As used on Red-White
valves this rating indicates the maximum steam pressure of a valve
body per MSS-SP-80. This rating is independent from the WOG
rating
CWP: Cold Working Pressure:
As used on Red-White
valves this rating indicates the maximum cold water pressure at
ambient temperatures (-20°F-100°F) of the valve body. All
joints (other than threaded) may limit this pressure due to their
materials or designs.
